The universe is the environment chosen by the creators of FreeOrion to place this game. In this turn-based strategy title, your goal is to eliminate all adversary colonies and spacecrafts. The maps where the game takes place are maps of different galaxies generated aleatorily. However, you can choose the shape: ring, spiral, elliptical, or irregular. Other features that can be edited are: the number of stars, the age, or planets' density.

Combine natural and human resources, feed your troops, and build buildings and spaceships. That's the key to conquering the whole galaxy.
